02 Not an official WARDOGS service
Eh, Big Dog is an independent community server. We’re not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by BULKHEAD (the developer of WARDOGS) or Team17 (its publisher). WARDOGS is a trademark of its respective owner.
WARDOGS has its own terms and policies, set by BULKHEAD and Team17. They apply whenever you play, including on our server, and nothing in these terms changes them.
03 Who can use our services
- You can join the server if you own WARDOGS and meet the age requirements of Steam and WARDOGS where you live.
- To buy VIP or make a donation, you must be at least 18 or the age of majority where you live, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms for you.
- You can’t buy from us where the law doesn’t allow it, for example if you’re in a country under comprehensive sanctions or appear on a sanctions list.
04 Playing on the server
- Playing on the server is free. We don’t guarantee you a slot, a particular map or game mode, or that the server will always be online.
- You must follow the server rules, as announced by our admins, and WARDOGS’ own rules. Cheating, exploiting bugs, harassment, hate speech, and deliberately ruining matches for others aren’t allowed.
- Admins may warn, kick, mute, or ban players who break the rules. If you think a ban was a mistake, email us to appeal.
05 VIP membership
VIP is a monthly membership that costs £5.00 per month and includes:
- Custom death messages: a personal message of your choice that the server shows in its death messages, subject to the rules in section 06.
- Queue priority: when the server is full, you get in ahead of players waiting in the regular queue. It doesn’t guarantee an instant slot, for example when many VIP members are waiting at once.
VIP doesn’t include in-game cash, gold bars, XP, unlocks, progression, items, weapons, or any advantage within a match. It doesn’t give you admin powers or exempt you from any rule.
VIP is linked to the one Steam account you give us at checkout. It’s a personal, non-transferable right to use the perks while your membership is active. It has no cash value and can’t be sold, shared, or transferred. If you need it moved to a different Steam account, contact us.
WARDOGS is in Early Access, and BULKHEAD may change how community servers, queues, or messages work. If that happens, we may need to change or replace a perk. We’ll email members about significant changes, and if a change makes VIP worse for you, you can cancel and get a refund for the current month.
06 Custom death message rules
Your message must follow the server rules. It can’t include:
- slurs, hate speech, or harassment of any person or group;
- sexual content or real-world threats;
- real names, contact details, or other personal information;
- advertising, links, or promotion of other servers, services, or cheats; or
- anything that impersonates our admins, BULKHEAD, or Team17.
We review messages before they go live. We may shorten a message to fit what the server can display, and we can edit, reject, or remove any message at any time. Repeatedly breaking these rules can lead to losing the perk or being banned. You’re responsible for what your message says.
07 Payments and billing
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Any VAT or sales tax that applies is shown before you pay. If your card isn’t in pounds, your bank may add currency conversion fees.
- VIP is a subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method £5.00 plus any applicable tax every month until you cancel.
- Charges appear on your card statement as EH BIG DOG.
- If a payment fails, your VIP may be paused or ended until a payment succeeds.
08 Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel VIP at any time. Cancellations and refunds are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms.
09 Donations
Donations are voluntary payments that support the operation and maintenance of the server. They don’t buy goods, services, perks, or any say in how the server is run. Eh, Big Dog isn’t a registered charity, and donations aren’t tax-deductible. Donations are non-refundable except for payment errors, as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10 Bans and VIP
If you’re banned from the server for breaking the server rules or WARDOGS’ rules, your VIP ends. We’ll cancel your subscription so you aren’t charged again, but the current month isn’t refunded. If your ban is overturned on appeal, we’ll restore your VIP and add back the time you lost.
11 Availability and changes
- We provide the server and website “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep them running, but we can’t promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Downtime can happen because of maintenance, game updates, hosting problems, or changes made by BULKHEAD.
- We may change server settings, maps, game modes, and rules at any time.
- If we close the server permanently, we’ll cancel all VIP subscriptions and refund the unused part of the current month.
12 Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses;
- we aren’t responsible for game progress, items, statistics, or accounts in WARDOGS itself, which BULKHEAD controls; and
- our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. We’ll email VIP members about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using our services after that, you accept the updated terms.
14 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Eh, Big Dog is operated. If you’re a consumer, you also keep any protections the laws of your own country give you.
