02 What we collect
When you buy VIP or donate
- Your name, email address, and billing country or postal code.
- For VIP, the Steam profile URL or SteamID64 you enter and your custom death message.
- Payment details: amount, date, currency, and status, plus limited card details from Stripe (card brand, last four digits, and expiry date). Stripe collects your full card number directly; we never see it.
When you play on the server
- Your Steam name and SteamID64, in-game chat, match events such as kills and deaths, and connection details such as your IP address. The game server and our hosting provider record these, and we use them to run and moderate the server.
When you contact us
- Your email address and anything you include in your message.
When you visit this website
- Our website host may keep standard logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and troubleshooting.
- Fonts on this site are loaded from Bunny Fonts (bunny.net), which receives your IP address so it can deliver them.
- We don’t use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this website. Stripe’s checkout pages use their own cookies, which Stripe’s policies cover.
03 How we use it
- To process payments, subscriptions, and refunds.
- To link VIP perks to the right Steam account and set up your death message.
- To send receipts and important notices about your membership.
- To answer your questions and handle ban appeals.
- To moderate the server and enforce the rules.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We don’t use your information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
04 Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to process payments and provide VIP.
- Legitimate interests: to moderate the server, keep it secure, and prevent fraud.
- Legal obligation: to keep payment records for tax and accounting.
- Consent: where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
05 Who we share it with
We share personal information only with services that help us run Eh, Big Dog:
- Stripe, which processes payments and manages subscriptions. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Our game server hosting provider, which runs the WARDOGS server and stores its logs.
- Our website host, which serves this website.
- Bunny Fonts, which delivers the fonts on this website.
WARDOGS itself is run by BULKHEAD and Team17, who handle game data under their own privacy policies. We don’t control that data.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
06 Payment security
All payments go through Stripe, which is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider, the highest level of certification in the payments industry. Your card details are sent straight to Stripe over an encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connection. They never pass through our systems, and we never store them. This website is also served over HTTPS.
07 How long we keep it
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require, which can be up to 7 years.
- VIP details (Steam account link and death message): while you’re a member, plus up to 90 days after your membership ends.
- Support emails and appeals: up to 2 years.
- Game server logs: usually no longer than 90 days, unless we need them for an open appeal or dispute.
08 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it.

California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, and we won’t treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
09 Children
Our services aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. Buyers must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10 International transfers
Stripe and our hosting providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, they use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11 Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we’ll also email VIP members.
